Visually inspect the filter at the end of the detergent hose and make sure that it is not clogged with any debris.
Insert the detergent hose into the detergent container placing the filter the whole way to the bottom.
Set the injection rate by turning the valve to the desired position. (Select Models)

Electric Models:

Position the spray wand into the low-pressure setting to engage detergent injection system.

Gas Models:

Insert the special black quick connect tip to the end of the lance, which is designed specifically for soap applications.

Notes:
> Never use bleach! Or any other chlorinated products through your pressure washer. Bleach will damage all seals and o-rings in the gun, wand, high-pressure hose, and pump. Using bleach will also void all warranties. Only use pressure washer safe cleaning detergents. Karcher specialty detergents are available and are biodegradable, and environmentally safe.
> Any pressure washer safe detergent can be used with the detergent injector that comes with Karcher pressure washers. When a detergent is injected into the pressure washer spray it is automatically diluted at a ratio of about 18:1.
> The detergent never passes through the pump. Instead it is injected into the spray before it comes out of the nozzle. The injector mechanism takes affect when the water pressure is changed into a low-pressure spray, then it will automatically suction the detergent from the container.
> Pressure washer detergents will not spray in high-pressure because it would require the detergent to flow through the pump. Many detergents will damage the seals and packing of the pump causing it to leak or breakdown.
Always rinse the injection system with water to prevent corrosion or gumming of parts. Rinsing the injection system is especially important if the injector is not being used every day.
